The Canadian University Council of Chief Information Officers (CUCCIO) is Canada’s community of information technology leaders in higher education, working together to help Canadian universities excel through the innovative and effective use of IT.

After consulting with key stakeholders at CUCCIO, the following key opportunities and challenges were identified for the new Executive Director.

The Executive Director is accountable to the Board of Directors for the overall management of the organization.

The ideal candidate brings a demonstrated track record of providing strategic, senior leadership on behalf of an organization with multiple stakeholders and ideally with experience in, or knowledge of, higher education.

With a flourishing practice focused on recruiting senior leaders in the Canadian market, Kathryn Young has provided exemplary human capital consulting for more than 15 years. She has stewarded clients through well over 200 executive hires, almost exclusively in the Board, CEO and VP ranks, expertly navigating the dynamics and governance issues associated with senior-level hires.

Brent Cameron serves as the Regional Managing Partner for Boyden's Western Canadian offices in Vancouver, Calgary and Saskatoon. With over 20 years’ experience in executive search, he has supported hundreds of CEOs, boards and search committees in reaching critical hiring decisions, and has a strong understanding of the dynamics inherent in senior executive recruitment in both the private and public sectors.

Ana Perko brings nearly a decade of recruitment experience across public and private sectors, with deep expertise in Western Canada’s tech market. Known for disciplined search execution, sharp market insight, and strong talent assessment, she builds long‑term client and candidate relationships that drive trusted partnerships and consistent results.
