Chief Financial Officer
University of Minnesota Foundation

University of Minnesota Foundation

The University of Minnesota Foundation (UMF) is the independent nonprofit organization designated by the University of Minnesota Board of Regents as the central philanthropic office for the University. Working across all five University campuses, colleges, schools, and programs, UMF advances the University’s mission by engaging donors, inspiring philanthropic investment, managing and stewarding gifts, and providing the resources necessary to support students, faculty, research, programs, and facilities.

UMF operates one of the nation’s significant public university fundraising programs, connecting alumni, individuals, corporations, foundations, and other partners with opportunities to make a lasting impact across the University. In fiscal year 2026, the University generated a preliminary $541 million in gifts, pledges, and future commitments from more than 87,000 donors, while $336 million was made available to support University priorities. The Foundation’s endowment reached approximately $4.8 billion, providing a substantial source of long-term support for the institution.

Beyond fundraising, UMF provides comprehensive expertise in donor relations and stewardship, gift administration, endowment management, investment oversight, and strategic real estate. Through this integrated approach, the Foundation serves as a critical partner in strengthening the University of Minnesota’s capacity to advance education, discovery, innovation, and public impact across Minnesota and beyond.
