Karen Kosiba Edwards, Managing Partner and Member of the Board of Directors, Boyden, will participate in The Boardroom Series: Landing a Seat, hosted by Alumni Career Services at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business on October 7, 2026.
Designed for executives interested in board service, the session will provide an insider's perspective on how board opportunities are identified, evaluated, and filled. Drawing on more than 40 years of experience advising boards, CEOs, and senior leadership teams, Karen will share practical insights on building a board-ready profile, cultivating strategic relationships, and positioning for director opportunities.
She will be joined by Russ Herakovich, Senior Partner at Korn Ferry, and Kristin Gunther, Founder and Managing Partner of Corvale, who will offer perspectives from executive search and private equity. The discussion will be moderated by Susan Sobbott, an accomplished corporate director and former Fortune 100 executive.
Together, the panel will explore what organizations seek in today's board candidates, how executives can effectively market their experience, and the steps aspiring directors can take to successfully navigate the board search and selection process.
