Boyden Denmark appoints Mai Louise Agerskov as Partner, bringing 19 years of CEO experience in technology, energy, finance, and sustainability. Her leadership strengthens Boyden’s executive search capabilities amid continued growth.

DENMARK, September 29, 2025 - Boyden Denmark announces the appointment of Mai Louise Agerskov as Partner. With 19 years of experience in senior leadership roles, Mai Louise Agerskov brings a wealth of expertise and a fresh perspective to the firm. Transitioning from her own executive positions, she will now leverage her extensive knowledge to help organisations identify and recruit top-tier leadership talent.

Boyden continues to accelerate its momentum after achieving another year of significant revenue growth (35%). Effective 1 October, Mai Louise Agerskov, will join the partnership team, working alongside Morten Winther, Henrik Harbo, and René Toldbod.

“Mai Louise Agerskov brings an exceptionally strong profile that perfectly complements and broadens our expertise. She possesses the personal and professional qualities needed to be a successful partner and to strengthen our business – especially in an industry where many face significant challenges,” says Morten Winther, Managing Partner at Boyden Denmark.

With a background in engineering and business development, i.a. experience at Danfoss, Mai Louise Agerskov has held CEO positions for the past 19 years in knowledge-intensive sectors, particularly within technology, energy, finance, and sustainability. Most recently, she served as CEO of Hemonto A/S, Denmark’s leading independent, data-driven investment advisory firm. Previously, she headed INCUBA in Aarhus, Insero E-mobility, and Naturvidenskabernes Hus.

She also brings extensive board experience, including as Chair of the Board at Erhverv Aarhus and as a board member of the Lise og Per Aarsleff Foundation.

Mai Louise Agerskov holds a MSc. in Engineering from Aalborg University, a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Aarhus University, a board certification from Copenhagen Business School (CBS), as well as having studied entrepreneurship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Skilled Leaders Make the Difference—Even in the Age of AI

“I look forward to leveraging my leadership experience in a broader context. I have always been motivated by moving organisations forward – and that is only possible with the right people in leadership roles. I believe I can contribute as a strategic sparring partner, not only because of my own leadership background, but also due to my extensive experience across diverse industries, business models, and the emerging technologies that drive them. This provides me with a strong foundation for understanding and addressing strategic challenges,” says Mai Louise Agerskov.

“In a time when the boundaries between industries are breaking down, and virtually all fast-growing companies are driven by technology, digitalisation, and AI, it is more important than ever to have leaders who can both make insightful decisions and inspire their organisations to succeed. Emotional intelligence and the ability to foster genuine followership will be even more critical for tomorrow’s top executives – and it is precisely this human element that AI can never replicate or replace,” she adds.

Values at the Core of Our Work

For both Mai Louise and the rest of the partner group, it has been essential that there was also a match in core values. “We chose Mai Louise above all for who she is as a person, as she embodies the values we hold in common. We are a close-knit team in a boutique consultancy, where our success as trusted advisers is defined by the people we are. This demands not only the highest level of professional expertise but also shared ambitions and values such as integrity and dependability – the very qualities that are vital to our clients’ decision to work with us,” says Henrik Harbo, Managing Partner at Boyden Denmark.

“This means, among other things, that we do not take on assignments for recruiting middle managers, but instead focus exclusively on executive recruitment at the VP level and above, as well as board placements.”

Boyden Denmark is the only one of the global top 10 executive search firms with a strong presence in Jutland, through its Aarhus office, where Mai Louise Agerskov will be based.
