Boyden is pleased to share the appointment news of Jon Bartel, a recruitment co-led by Kathryn Young and Khaleeda Jamal

Langley, BC - Apr 24, 2025

Announcement by Glenda Williams, Chair, Inclusion Langley Society:

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce that Jon Bartel will join Inclusion Langley Society as our new Chief Executive Officer, effective June 2, 2025.

This appointment follows a comprehensive six-month search process, conducted with the outstanding support of Boyden Executive Search. We are incredibly pleased with the outcome and excited about the future under Jon’s leadership.

Jon brings more than 20 years of experience in the Community Living sector. His journey began as a volunteer at a summer camp for adults with developmental disabilities, and over the past 15 years, he has held various roles at Community Living BC. During that time, he supported the communities of Langley and Abbotsford—Inclusion Langley being one of the first agencies he worked with. Most recently, Jon served as Director of Procurement Strategy and Workplace Solutions.

He is widely recognized as a collaborative and thoughtful leader with a deep commitment to building inclusive communities. On a personal note, Jon and his wife Katie are proud parents to three daughters, one of whom has a disability. His professional expertise is matched by a personal passion for inclusion and belonging.

Jon shared, “Inclusion Langley is a global leader in advancing inclusion, and I am so incredibly excited to join the organization. The work Inclusion Langley has led has shaped my own perspectives on what truly inclusive services and communities can look like, and I am looking forward to continuing that journey with the staff, individuals, and families at ILS.”

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our outgoing CEO, Dan Collins, for his remarkable leadership and unwavering dedication to ILS. Dan has left a lasting legacy—one that sets a strong foundation for the future as we continue to “inspire community to ensure all belong.”
