As CFO, Frances will play a vital role in Vancity’s efforts to create long-term value for its 560,000 members, using the power of finance to advance social responsibility and drive revenue and impact. She will be responsible for overseeing the credit union’s finances, treasury, forecasting, and regulatory compliance. Frances will take up her new role with Vancity on December 2, 2024.

She brings a wealth of senior leadership expertise, joining Vancity after almost a decade at Coast Capital Savings where she served as both Vice President of Finance and Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis.

As Chief Legal Officer, Angela Yadav will head Vancity’s legal team, and she will also lead the credit union’s operations, overseeing real estate, procurement, and vendor relationships. Angela started her new role on October 1, 2024.

Angela is a seasoned lawyer with over 20 years of experience. She has spent most of her career serving in Canada’s financial sector. She comes to Vancity after serving as Associate General Counsel at HSBC Bank Canada and Managing Counsel and Director at RBC.

“We’re exceptionally lucky to have Frances and Angela join our leadership team at an exciting time for Vancity. Each of them is a recognized leader with impressive accomplishments and deep experience who I know will help us build a new and improved Vancity and continue our quest to become the best financial institution in Canada,” said Wellington Holbrook, President and CEO.
