The Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal announces the appointment of Ms. Isabelle Dessureault as President and Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Dessureault will officially take office on June 12. 

"On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Isabelle Dessureault as the next President and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal. Isabelle has an impressive track record in the business community and as a diplomat in Europe and the United States, where over the past six years she has worked to support the international growth of Quebec businesses. A dynamic, innovative, and highly respected leader, she stood out as the ideal candidate to lead the Chamber and continue advancing the interests of its members,” said Philippe Johnson, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal. 

“In today’s challenging economic context, the Chamber must further strengthen its influence in promoting and defending Montreal’s business community by remaining a key actor in ensuring the prosperity of the city. With her diverse experience, deep understanding of economic dynamics, and proven ability to deliver results, Isabelle has the full confidence of the Board to lead the organization into its next chapter. I would also like to take this opportunity to once again thank Michel Leblanc for his exceptional contribution to the Chamber, its members, and the vitality of Montreal’s business community over the past 16 years,” added Philippe Johnson. 

“I accept this mandate with humility and a deep sense of purpose, at the helm of an institution with over 200 years of history. The Chamber is a vital pillar of Greater Montreal’s economic development, and I am ready to bring people together and drive it forward,” said Isabelle Dessureault.

Drawing on my experience and driven by a collective ambition for prosperity and resilience, I will proudly and powerfully carry the voice of the business community across the metropolitan region. I will work tirelessly alongside you so that together, we can overcome the challenges ahead,” added Isabelle Dessureault. 

Ms. Dessureault is currently serving as Quebec’s Delegate in Miami. Previously, she held senior leadership roles at NATIONAL Public Relations, Vidéotron, and Québecor. She holds an MBA from Concordia University's John Molson School of Business and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from UQAM. She is currently pursuing studies in International Relations at Harvard University.
