Experience: Brings senior financial leadership experience within operationally complex, asset-intensive organizations, ideally in industrial, manufacturing, or distribution, environments. Has operated in multi-entity businesses with exposure to commodities, inventory, and working capital dynamics, and is comfortable supporting organizations with multiple locations and cross-border operations. Has led complex systems upgrades and implementations.

Leadership: Values-driven finance leader with a commitment to social, environmental, and community sustainability. Brings credibility, judgment, and maturity to an executive leadership team. Experience building, developing, and leading high-performing finance teams. Demonstrates the ability to lead with clarity and intent, establish accountability, and elevate expectations while maintaining the flexibility appropriate to an entrepreneurial, owner-led business. Builds trust through consistency, sound judgment, and a thoughtful, relationship-oriented leadership style.

Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to think strategically and translate long-term vision into executable financial plans. Demonstrates the ability to think beyond the numbers and apply sound judgment to complex business decisions. Brings experience partnering with senior leadership on matters of growth, capital allocation, and risk, and is comfortable constructively challenging assumptions while maintaining alignment and trust. Demonstrated ability to work closely with executive teams, boards, and shareholders.

Systems & Processes: Brings practical experience assessing, evaluating and implementing financial systems and ERP platforms in operational environments. Understands the importance of strong underlying processes, documentation, and standard operating procedures, and approaches systems as enablers of better information, efficiency, and decision-making. Depth in FP&A, including building and leading budgets, forecasts, commodity and currency hedging programs, and long-term financial plans in complex or growing organizations.

Education: Holds a CPA designation with additional credentials such as an MBA considered a strong asset. Formal training in financial strategy, risk management, and systems implementation is highly valued.

Travel: Willing and able to travel as required to support acquisitions, operations, and leadership engagement across the business, including travel to the USA.
