For close to 60 years, the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) has provided highly relevant, critical education and training to individuals endeavouring to be uniquely career-ready in a competitive and ever-changing market.

Since 1964, the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) has provided applied education and training to individuals endeavouring to be career-ready.

BCIT uses action plans to focus on specific areas arising from the higher level Strategic Plan. BCIT's Strategic Plan, along with complementing actions plans and initiatives, are highlighted in this section.

BCIT’s main campus is located in Burnaby, immediately to the east of Vancouver. A bustling city itself, Burnaby features high density residential areas, major commercial town centres, high technology research and business parks.

Specializing in the public and social impact sector, Khaleeda Jamal has a track record of successful executive, senior academic and administrative appointments in higher education, not-for-profit, healthcare and related organizations.
